Compact and tough
With its 195 mm (7 11/16”) x 121 mm (4 3/4") x 114 mm (4 1/2”) H x W x D stature and 1.4 kg (3.1 lb) weight, the 6010A is perfect for close distance listening and locations where space is limited. Its well protected drivers and sturdy die-cast aluminium enclosure make the 6010A well suited for active lifestyle and traveling.
Integrated amplifiers
Both the bass and treble drivers of the 6010A have their own integrated 12 Watt amplifiers. Apart from making external power amplifiers redundant, this allows precise matching of the amplifiers to the characteristics of the drivers, which is one of the keys to the extraordinary acoustical performance of the 6010A. This also made it possible to include automatic protection circuits against overheating for the amplifier and drivers.
Connectors and Controls
An RCA line level input connector with adjustable input sensitivity provides easy connection to a computer sound card, portable MP3 player or a preamplifier. The active crossover controls 'Desktop Control' and 'Bass Tilt' allow the bass response of the 6010A to be exactly adjusted for perfect room integration.
Acoustic output
A stereo pair of 6010A’s is capable of peak output sound pressure levels in excess of 102 dB at 1 meter distance. Frequency response extends from 74 Hz to 18 kHz with less than ±2.5 dB deviation. Every 6010A is individually calibrated and tested to this stringent specification after assembly at the Genelec factory in Iisalmi, Finland. |
